Neil’s journey in the NHS started in 2010 as a part-time systems administrator within the local NHS Commissioning Service. Since then, through his passion for leadership, engagement, and his commitment to making the NHS the best place to work, he now leads seven key corporate services within the Human Resources directorate at the double-outstanding rated Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Neil’s areas of responsibilities as Head of Workforce Engagement & Information, include recruitment, temporary staffing, workforce information systems, staff restoring, and staff experience. Neil has played a pivotal role in introducing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into his NHS organisation and has initiated plans for a collaborative network involving other NHS organisations, to co-evolve and accelerate its benefits.
